Simon Kenton Chapter Flag Day Picnic A Fun Day For All!

On June 15th, at the Crescent Springs Park off of Buttermilk Pike, the Simon Kenton Chapter held it’s annual Flag day picnic and National Flag retirement ceremony. While the weather was a little chilly and the rain was threatening, we were able to fit this event in and managed to stay dry. Family and friends enjoyed the time we had together socializing, eating great food and honoring our National Flag. Thanks to all who were able to attend and help make this another successful event for the Simon Kenton Chapter. For pictures of the event, click on the Gallery tab above.

Happy Memorial Day May 27th, 2019

To our chapter members and the people of this nation, the Simon Kenton Chapter wishes you and your family a happy Memorial Day. As you enjoy this holiday weekend with family and friends, don’t forget to take time to remember those men and women who sacrificed their lives to start this country as well as keep us safe and free in modern times.

Honor Flight May 21, 2019

On Tuesday, May 21, the Daniel Boone Color Guard was present at this year’s second Honor Flight at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Present were Don Drewry, Esther Drewry, Bruce Houghton, Terry Collis and Don Goodrich and Jeff Hampton who joined a like number of compatriots from the Cincinnati Chapter to greet our veterans along with hundreds of family members and other organizations. It was very patriotic and emotional as always.  Please consider coming out to support our vets and the Simon Kenton Chapter at the next Honor Flight.
